At one extreme there are grassroots football clubs all over the UK along with a number of holiday based soccer schools. Some of these just act as a ‘crèche’ to keep children occupied, away from busy parents!
At the other extreme, professional clubs have youth academies trialling a number of children for six weeks at a time. From those, only one child in five hundred might be taken on to go further as there is pressure to quickly impress.
So how do you prepare your child to stand a greater chance of really developing themselves and what happens to those who undergo a trial but don’t quite make the grade?
There’s a huge gap in the level of coaching a young player will experience at pro academies compared to grassroots level. Elite Soccer Academy offers a high level of training to bridge that gap.
Future footballers will need to be more creative and quick thinking than ever before and to respond to the ever-changing demands of this physically demanding and technically challenging game. By teaching the latest strategies and skills, we’re working to create better levels of performance for the future.
An extra benefit of our programmes is that your child will have a fantastic time and will make new friends, as well as learning new skills and developing their fitness.
And, if your child shows sufficient promise, we will create the opportunities for them to play in trials in front of pro club scouts and will help and support them every step of the way.
We also believe that the basic principles of remaining fit and healthy are a vital and necessary element of a child’s physical development.
The London 2012 Olympics are only round the corner where the legacy emphasis will be with this specific point in mind.
